The next phase of corona vaccination in the country begins on May 1. So far, only people above 45 years of age could get corona vaccine, but from May 1, everyone 18 years and above in the country will be eligible for vaccination. However, a major change has been made at this stage. People in the age group of 18 to 44 years will be required to register themselves online for vaccination which will start from 4 pm today. The option of onsite registration for people above 45 years of age will remain the same as before. Let us know the process of online registration and all the important things related to it.
It has made it mandatory for people aged 18 years or above and under 45 to register on the Covin web portal and take time for vaccination to get a corona prevention vaccine. However, people above the age of 45 years can get vaccinated by registering at the vaccination centre. After opening the vaccination campaign to all persons above 18 years of age, if registration had been done at onsite registration centres, there would have been a huge rush which would have been a challenge to control. That is why registration has been made mandatory for people in the age group of 18 to 44 years.
Where and how to register?
1. Below you will find a link to registration and click and verify your 10 digit mobile number there through OTP. This will be followed by the Registration for Vaccination page where you need to fill in basic information about yourself such as name, date of birth, etc. After registration is complete, you can add 3 more people to your own mobile number in the account detail.
2. This will be followed by the second phase of the registration process in which you have to choose one of the photo ID cards like Aadhaar, PAN, driving license. You will have to fill in some basic details like your name, date of birth, gender. You will then see a page on which you can add a maximum of 4 more beneficiaries to the same mobile number. Then, as soon as you enter your PIN code, you will open a list of vaccination centres. Choose your favorite center from it. You'll get to know the vaccination date and timing. ?
The price of vaccine for the 18-44 age group?
It is absolutely free for the people of Rajasthan. If any other State Government has asked for free, it will be free of cost to all otherwise it will have to be paid as given below.
Most of the state governments have also announced free vaccines for people from the age of 18 to 45 years. So, in government centres, you will find it free of cost, but if you are installed in private hospitals, you will have to loosen your pockets. At present, private covid-19 vaccinations are being administered to the people at the rate of Rs.250 per dose by taking vaccine supplements from the Central Government. The system will be abolished from May 1 and private hospitals will have to buy doses directly from vaccine manufacturers. Private hospitals will get covishield vaccines at a price of Rs 600 per dose while the vaccine vaccine will cost Rs 1200 per dose. State Governments can also now buy doses directly from vaccine companies. They will get a dose of covishield for Rs 400 while a dose of covaccine will cost Rs 600.
